Save the date! Friday, April 17, 2020 We will be hosting 5th annual Art in Bloom event. The unveiling of floral arrangements, dinner and auction will be on April 17th at 6:30 pm; doors open at 6 pm. Culture Day
Friday, September 27th, 2019 @ Art Gallery of Algoma Art Gallery of Algoma is offering hand-building art activities for everyone on Friday, September 27th from 10:30am to 3pm for Culture Day. In partnership with Jade Wellness Studio and Doterra Essential Oils, there will be a meditation session for adults from 12:15pm to 12:30pm, family yoga from 12:30pm to 1pm, and Essential oil workshop from 2pm to 3pm, where you will be able to learn how essential oils can benefit your health. Film Screening How Does Life Live? is part of the province-wide exhibition DO BLUE BUTTERFLIES EAT PARTS OF THE SKY?, curated by Dave Dyment and commissioned on the occasion of Culture Days’ 10th Anniversary. Summer Exhibitions include Collection of the Survey from AGA Permanent Collection, Metamorphosis: Connecting with Glass by local artist, Carson Merriefield, and Insights: Perspectives on environment, time, humanity, and us as individuals by local artists, Karin Doleske, Jackie Janisse, Annie King and Kyrstiana Bourdage. |

The evening is a celebration of accomplishments by local members of the Guild. Many unique hand created pieces will be on display for sale. In addition, demonstrations of some pottery making by the members and history of the Guild in Sault Ste. Marie will be shared. We would like to invite you to join us for this special evening to celebrate local artists and share experiences of the Potters Guild.
Refreshments will be served.

Gordon Stone March 9, 2019 2pm - 5pm A Local Artist, Gordon Stone has publish his first book called "Nature Speaks Are You Listening". We hope that you will be able to join us at the event and congratulate Gordon on publishing his first book. The AGA is pleased to host this event and recognize Gordon Stone, well-known local artist and long time member and supporter of the Gallery. Refreshments will be served. About Gordon Stone Inspirational photographer, poet and writer, Gordon’s mission in life is to touch others through both the heart and soul with images of God’s creation to demonstrate the interconnectedness of all things and to portray images not often seen as we make our journey life together. |
