The Art Gallery of Algoma offers a number of tours that are designed to engage out of town visitors and local community members alike. Please contact us about any of the tours listed below. Custom tours are available upon request with 48 hours prior notice. Occasionally, group tours can be booked outside of regular hours of operation dependent on staff availability.

Group of Seven Painting Tours
2 hours (3 hours with optional lunch) Includes a guided tour of the exhibitions and mini painting lesson in the Group of Seven style with an optional lunch in the Gallery Café or outside on the picnic tables. This tour requires minimum of two people to book. Please book one week in advance. Customized tours are available. Includes painting materials and art instructor. Guided Tour
45 min - 1 hour Gallery visit with pre-booked tour. Take a guided and interactive tour of current exhibitions with a knowledgeable AGA staff member and a self-guided walk through Elsie Savoie Sculpture Park. Group tours are available for 15-60 guests. Larger tours of 60-80 guests will be divided into two groups: one half will take a guided tour of the sculpture park while the other half tours the gallery. Groups would then rotate.

Art & Architecture Tour
1 hour Enjoy an afternoon of art and architecture in this unique guided walking tour that takes you through the current gallery exhibitions, through the Elsie Savoie Sculpture Park and then on to explore prominent historical properties in downtown Sault Ste. Minimum of 2 visitors to book. Please book tour two days in advance. This is a walking tour.

Tour and Lunch
2-3 hours Spend an afternoon at the Art Gallery of Algoma and learn all about the Gallery in this informative and interactive tour of current exhibitions. A guided tour of Elsie Savoie Sculpture Park is included in this package from June – October. Following the tour, visitors are served a catered box lunch in the Gallery Café or outside on the picnic tables, weather permitting.

1.5 hours Gallery visit with pre-booked tour and art activity. Take a guided and interactive tour of current exhibitions with a knowledgeable AGA staff member followed by an art activity in the Ken Danby Studio.

Wine and Cheese Reception
2-3 hours Enjoy a wine and cheese reception while looking through the pieces of art featured in the Lobby. Following the wine and cheese reception, take a tour of the current exhibitions on display in the Gallery and a walk through the Elsie Savoie Sculpture Park.
