2024 Summer Art Class Week 1: July 8-12 Afternoon (Ages 10-14)
Week 1: July 8-12, 2024 – 1:30pm to 4:00pm, Ages 10-14
Inspired by the Group of Seven
Students will paint in the style of the Group of Seven outside as the Group did. They will explore perspective and document the scenery around them. The travelling exhibition, Cobalt: A Mining Town and the Canadian Imagination, originally from the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, Ontario will be displayed at the Art Gallery of Algoma during the summer months. This exhibition includes several artworks by Group of Seven members. Students will learn about this exhibition and be inspired to create their own artworks!
Cost is $150 for members (with a Family Membership) and $200 for non-members.
