Day at the Beach

White Pines
Teacher: Nathalie Neuhaus
Grade 7/8 A

This art piece brings me joy because it reminds me of the time spent at the beach with my family and friends, when we didn’t have to social distance. I hope it brings joy to others the way it brings joy to me! It really helps me through covid-19 because it reminds me of what I can do once we can leave our homes and go out without a mask. I hope this brings you joy and joy to others.

This pastel drawing give's me joy because I do not like water so when I paint it helps making me like it. and it was cool to blend the pastel colours. And I like rocks so the rooks in the back are comforting. There is not much about art that does make me happy so I just do this image all the time.

This piece makes me happy because its somewhat easy to do, and mostly because it helps me express my feelings in a peaceful way. I started off with a back cote by just brushing back and forth with different colors, then splatting paint all over the paper.

Lakeside Sunset

White Pines
Teacher: Nathalie Neuhaus
Grade 7/8 A

My art piece is called “Lakeside sunset” I used pastels and a smudging technique to try and draw as best I could Aubrey Lake, I go camping there with my grandparents every summer and I brings me a lot of joy. I saw a lot of nice sunsets there over the years and It’s beautiful. I decided to specifically draw the view from off the bluff, but now I realize that I forgot to draw the trees, but that’s okay because art isn’t about perfection it’s about having fun and creating joy for yourself and others, which if what I hope I did and I also had a lot of fun creating this piece.

Sunny Meadow

Teacher: Nathalie Neuhaus
Grade 7/8 A

Why does my Artwork bring others joy? Why does my artwork bring joy to me? My artwork may bring others joy by reminding them of spring. The colours throughout the painting are different shades of green, blue, purple and pink. It made me feel happy because it was enjoyable to paint with watercolor. When people look at artwork from artists such as Leonardo da Vinci or Vincent van Gogh it brings joy to them. But other times they will see joy in other pieces that are not so popular. Anyone can make art that brings people joy including you!

Teacher: Nathalie Neuhaus

In this art piece I used acrylic paint and a canvas. I was originally going to do a sunset but I didn’t like the way it turned out, so I tried to paint the canvas white and it didn’t work, so I just continued splotching different colours. It turned out ok, I used black sharpie to make a boarder to define colours. I used paper Towle to add texture.
