Lucia Laford (Waawaaskone Kwe) is an Anishinaabe and Irish artist, born in Baawaating, ON. Her Woodland style is vivid and bright with crisp line work. She is a passionate Indigenous Arts Educator. She paints to connect people and herself back to our original obligations as caretakers of this land, the waters and all of creation.

End goal
Create one or more finished artworks Drop off your work at the gallery between August 24–29 Have your work shown in an exhibition Attend the Exhibition opening and celebrate Anishinaabe culture September 30 and running into December What’s provided Art materials Guidance and support A welcoming, barrier-free space Snacks Important We welcome all Indigenous youth to participate We look forward to seeing your accomplishments This project was made possible because of the generous donation of the CN Community Investment Fund |
